Smart metering

The platform is a smart metering solution for the digital transformation of the gas meter data collection process, adapted for all business activities. The meters must have a built-in functionality of remote status reading, and a standard meter with a built-in sensor that delivers the read data via a network connected to the platform can also be used. Our platform is technology agnostic – in other words, it can be integrated with all standard IoT networks. The meter, or the sensor built into the meter, is activated automatically, through a smartphone application, which is available to our users. User interfaces have built-in network monitoring functionality – it’s a separate dashboard. It provides insight into the state of the gas meter, enables a review of the readings, registers the location of the device and collects master data from each individual meter or sensor. The user interface is adapted to the specifics of the gas industry down to the smallest detail.

The platform offers a report for HROTE. The integrity of the data collected from the meter is constantly checked, and anomalies such as malfunctioning of certain sensors or network connections at certain locations are immediately reported to the user.

Data protection is organized in accordance with the highest security standards. The data is automatically delivered to all the user’s systems for the purpose of integration with the billing system, ERP system and other user’s business systems.

The platform is a smart metering solution for the digital transformation of the water meter data collection process. In practice, there are several models of water meters that require different sensors for meter reading, such as the KAMSTRU water meter with a built-in Sigfox connection, the ITRON magnetic reader for meter reading, etc. Remote reading of water consumption in our country is an added challenge because the meters are usually placed in a manhole closed with a metal cover, which makes it difficult to transmit radio signals and requires the installation of an additional communication module, outside the manhole itself. This complicates and makes installation more expensive. However, the difficult availability of meters can be an additional reason for the application of remote reading. Moreover, this solution, in addition to reading the meter, also enables the installation of valves to cut off the water supply as well as limit the supply, while respecting the guaranteed daily amount of water for basic needs.

In practice, a solution with two devices that are mounted on the existing water meter is most often used. The first device is a magnetic reader that reads the state of the water meter, and the second device is a pulse reader through which communication/network goes. The magnetic reader is mounted on the water meter itself. The pulse reader is installed outside, in the immediate vicinity of the shaft with the water meter, due to the signal strength.
